A native of Israel, Ilana came to the U.S. in 1991 where she married and is raising her family. Ilana is a recipient of the Lea Eliash Memorial Grinspoon/Steinhardt Award for Excellence in Jewish Education. For the past ten years, she has been working as a Hebrew and Judaic Studies Teacher at JCDSRI and Temple Emanu-El. Her goal is to create important foundations that will shape children’s worldviews; she listens and engages the students in important discussions and activities that promote love of Hashem, taking pride in being Jewish, love of Israel and the Hebrew language; structures her agenda around prayers and Jewish holidays; and instills the value of Jewish tradition and spiritual guidance.
